About Melissa: Melissa has been with CCDS since 2006, she first came on board as part of the Service Coordination team.  In 2016 she joined the Residential team as a Residential Behavior Specialist. Prior to working at CCDS, Melissa taught English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to children with special needs and worked at a domestic violence shelter as a mental health counselor.

During her time teaching, Melissa noticed that the children and their families needed more services and assistance.  She made the decision to become a service coordinator in order to help individuals and families attain the services and resources they needed.  Melissa is inspired by the gratitude of families and individuals when she is able to provide the assistance they need.

When she’s not working Melissa enjoys spending time with her family.

Education: Master of Science in Counseling Studies, Capella University | Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, College of Charleston
