Service Coordinator

About Karen: Karen began working for Catholic Charities Disabilities Services in 2015, as a Direct Support Professional.  In 2017 she joined our Service Coordination Team.  In addition to working with our agency, Karen also has prior experience in the field as a Waiver Service Provider, a Group Facilitator/Program Monitor, and as a Healthcare Navigator.

With her experience and passion for the human service field, Karen strives to connect people to supportive services and community resources. It is her goal to help people overcome barriers they may face due to their disabilities and other life stressors. It is important to her that she highlight the strengths and abilities of everyone she works with, and to help them reach their personal milestones.

When she's not working Karen enjoys playing with her cat, Xena, volunteering at nonprofits agencies, learning how to make Caribbean cuisines and traveling.

Education: Master's in Social Welfare, University at Albany & Bachelor of Art in Sociology, Binghamton University
