Director of Quality Assurance

Due to a promotion, we are currently conducting a search to fill the position of Director of Quality Assurance. 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing all quality assurance functions for the agency, including but not limited to conducting and directing measurements of satisfaction with services, internal audit processes, incident management, compliance in record keeping and billing, and identifying, recommending and implementing education and training initiatives, developing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and organizational policy. 

This position requires experience in Quality Assurance and Incident Management and in-depth knowledge of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) regulation and operation with respect to residential group homes, clinical service provisions within the OPWDD system for IRAs and ICFs, and community based services and billing. The individual must have excellent written and oral communication skills in order to communicate clearly with all levels of the agency as well as external stakeholders, to ensure an understanding of agency mission, values and quality goals. 

The individual must, at a minimum, hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and have five years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, primarily in quality assurance or related areas, in the direct or indirect provision of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
