Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide ongoing therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities in our Residential programs. The person that assumes this position will deliver treatment according to individuals’ needs and regulatory requirements. The COTA will provide education and training for staff, as needed, pertaining to the OT scope of practice. In addition, this person will assist in developing and implementing treatment plans from the OTR’s evaluation. Within their scope of practice, the COTA will make recommendations for adaptive equipment, supplies, recreational equipment, etc. with the goal of enhancing person-centered planning. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Successful candidates will have a valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation. Schedule: This is a part-time position around 20 hours weekly.
