Executive Director

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany seeks a full-time Executive Director for its Disabilities Services agency. CC Disabilities Services is a CQL accredited agency providing an array of services to individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries throughout the counties of the Diocese, including residential, clinical, service coordination, community habilitation, TBI, and specialized services to individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities, the Executive Director will provide the overall management and administration of the agency, which includes planning, development, compliance, supervision and stewardship of the agency’s resources, in accordance with agency policies and procedures and consistent with the mission of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred, in the human service field or business administration/management;
  • Seven (7) or more years of increasingly responsible administrative/executive level experience in health or human service, business, education or government that includes operational, financial management and related areas;
  • In-depth knowledge of NYS OPWDD regulatory requirements, funding sources and methodologies;
  • A proven track record as a successful leader who demonstrates passion, management excellence, integrity, efficiency, fiscal aptitude and effective communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the organizations finances in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations; to manage/supervise staff and agency activities in a collaborative style;
  • Possess strong skills in advocacy, conflict management, problem-solving and team-building;
  • Ability to identify community needs, develop programmatic goals & objectives, and expand/diversify funding to support the services provided to those in need.
