Nurse Manager Location: Albany, NY Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, Some flexibility and on-call phone coverage is required Position Description: We are currently seeking a Nurse Manager to join our team, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in our Residential programs. Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Manager will maintain a modified caseload and will assume the general responsibilities of a Registered Nurse to these individuals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, Provision of clinical supervision to CCDS nursing team; including Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses Serve as liaison between the agency and any medical practitioner or medical practice under contract with the agency Provide ongoing health and nursing related training to staff as well as external parties as required. This includes but is not limited to the medication administration course, diabetes training, g-tube certification, staff orientation training, the clinical training series, annual nursing training, and the phone triage training for OPWDD nurses. To assist in the development and implementation of agency responses relating to nursing as they pertain to statements of deficiencies, incident review recommendations, programmatic reviews, and annual precertification reviews. Attend and represent the agency in the following: clinical meetings, safety committee, training committee, admin meetings, Develop and maintain the nursing on call schedule as well as participate in rotation to ensure adequate coverage is provided on a 24/7 basis to the various residences. Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse licensure and registration are required. Candidates for this position must have at least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, of which one year occurred in an OPWDD certified setting. A valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.
